John has been working with Vermonters on their corporate, probate, estate planning, and elder law issues for over twenty-five years. He brings sophisticated training and experience to his practice. He has lectured extensively on probate practice and trust and estates. He is a counselor to trustees of private foundations and an adviser to individuals and businesses. He is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. He served as an editor of the Notre Dame Law Review.
John is devoted to his wife, Betsy, and their two children. As a Domer, it goes without saying that he is a passionate Notre Dame football fan. He and Betsy enjoy snowshoeing and hiking. He is also a voracious reader, a long-time UVM hockey season-ticket holder, and an admirer of both Mozart and Elvis.
